The district covers 92.74% of Butte County (including Chico, Concow, 6.28% of Durham, Gridley, Magalia, Oroville, Oroville East, Palermo, Paradise, South Oroville, and Thermalito) as well as the counties of Lassen, Nevada, 9.87% of Placer (Colfax and Meadow Vista), Plumas, Sierra, and Yuba.
Other cities in the district include Grass Valley, Loyalton, Marysville, Nevada City, Portola, Quincy, Susanville, Truckee, and Wheatland.
